Many articles focus on soccer history, Zumba, women's fitness, weight training, restaurants, golf courses, karaoke, hotels, dance clubs and luxury vacations.

Soccer is my main area of expertise, with more than a dozen years as a field player and goalkeeper on an A League women's team, a visit to the 1998 World Cup in France, and more than 600 published articles on soccer on DMS sites.

Squash is also an area of strength; I have played since 1982, in England and the United States, and organize the 70-member squash league at Mac Harbor East in Baltimore, Maryland.

• Copyedited six rural newspapers in Alaska. Young reporters won 14 Alaska Press Club awards in 2008-09.

Major achievements: Helped vault The Washington Post past the better-staffed New York Times with comprehensive coverage of elections, the national Census and breaking news, including the O.J. trial.

Gathered information and designed graphics for the National and Foreign sections of The Washington Post. Worked collaboratively with artists as they created maps, illustrations, charts and infographics. Did original data analysis on PAC spending to create charts for the Federal Page.
